Draycott Show receives gift from Duchy of Lancaster

Feb 16, 2016>

The Draycott in the Clay Agricultural and Horticultural Society has received the use of a much needed store from The Duchy of Lancaster.  Each year leftover equipment from the Draycott Show is stored in the homes, barns and garages of various committee members and volunteers.  Over time, this has led to items becoming lost or damaged.  With the help of longtime Draycott Show supporter Mark Gardiner, The Duchy Estate has stepped in and offered its support.  Now the show will be able to store its supplies in a single, safe spot.  Over the weekend, a moving party was held by volunteers who came out to move items into the new store. “This new store, made available by the Duchy of Lancaster estates, will ease our perpetual storage problems of show equipment - it is local and very much appreciated by the show committee” said Ken Ashton, Secretary of the Draycott Show Society.
